Guerrilla Marketing for the Home-Based Business - 4 Stars

UNABRIDGED By Jay Levinson , Seth Godin Narrated By Barrett Whitener First, I have to say that I wasn't pleased by someone other than Seth reading this book. That said the narrator was efficient and I wouldn't mind listening to him again on another audio. It is just a personal preference once I have heard an author read I like to hear them keep doing it. I have become spoiled in that regard. There is so much value in the author reading a book like this. They deliver the passion that is important. I have had numerous exposures to the mental processes that underpin the Guerrilla Marketing idea of Jay Levinson and I see great value in them. This book needs to be updated and revised. After all, who has a pager anymore??? (That is what email and text messages on your mobile phone is all about)!!! Fax??? (Yes, the company I work for still has one but it IS NOT a primary communications tool anymore)!!! There are some real gems as well that will translate well into email and social media activities, but you will have to make the intuitive leap. These gems are the real world examples of Guerilla Marketing. The stories are awesome and well worth the cost of this audiobook and the outdated content. It just isn’t a home run given its dated nature. So overall, I recommend the book but if you are looking for something to make an impact right now, I would recommend, The Thank You Economy by Gary Vaynerchuk. This title is more in line with the status of valuable reference, (you really should give it a listen there is value here), but not current to the trends of this decade or the next. My final statement it is dated material, but still contains great value...

First of all I want to say fantastic blog! I had a quick question which I'd like to ask if you don't
mind. I was interested to find out how you center yourself and clear your thoughts prior to writing.
I've had a difficult time clearing my mind in getting my ideas out there. I do take pleasure in writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are wasted just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or hints? Cheers!
